About the Project:
Kognitos is a software company competing against some of the biggest names in its category. Several of their own employees came from those larger competitors, giving the team an insider's view of exactly where the market leaders were strong, and where there was real room to differentiate.
Their core challenge was clarity. Prospects landing on the site couldn't tell what the software actually did within the first few seconds. In a crowded market up against much bigger, better-known competitors, that's a critical conversion killer: if people don't get it fast, they bounce before ever evaluating the product on its merits. Kognitos partnered with KARL Mission to solve that clarity problem and rebuild their brand to compete credibly at a much larger scale.
Mission:
Our mission was to:
- Benchmark Kognitos against their biggest competitors across website content architecture, branding, blog, FAQs, and email retention.
- Solve the core issue: make it instantly clear what the product does and why it matters.
- Rebrand the company, including a new logo, new illustration style, and new creative concept, to feel credible next to much larger competitors.
- Rebuild the website, social media, and email experience around that new concept to drive conversions.
- Support a company press release with landing pages ready to go alongside it.
Process:
1. Competitive Benchmark: We audited each major competitor's website content architecture, branding, blog, FAQs, and email retention flows to see how Kognitos stacked up and where the gaps and opportunities were.
2. Design Proposal: Based on those findings, we proposed a full rebrand, a new logo, illustration system, and creative concept, built specifically to solve the clarity problem and support conversions.

3. Website Rebuild: We redesigned and rebuilt the site around the new concept, restructuring content so visitors understand the product's value within seconds.

4. Social Media: We extended the new visual identity and messaging across their social presence.

5. Email: We redesigned their email program, including retention flows, to match the new brand and support conversion goals.
6. Press Release Support: We built landing pages timed to go live alongside their press release, giving incoming traffic a page built to convert rather than a generic homepage.
7. Measurement & Reporting: We defined data KPIs to track against the new brand and site, set up Google Tag Manager, and built a Looker Studio dashboard to give the team ongoing visibility into performance.
